God bless the fashion industry! As gloomy and depressing as January is, the good old fashion world keeps us looking forward with Spring Summer 14 campaign releases that promise warmer and happier days are not too far away. The following images are my favorite at the moment.
This season wonderful Kenzo has managed to evoke playful happiness by placing Devon Aoki (an old favorite of mine), on top of a rather large fish, on top of a very strong man. Surely the combination of this image, the colour and print has made you smile? I'm ecstatic.
Continuing the theme of animal as model is Trussardi. A few brands have featured man's best friend over the past few seasons but I think this is possibly my favourite. The chicness, the elegance. Oh my!
Erykah Badu is the latest face of Givenchy, continuing Ricardo Tisci's use of actors and artists over models. For those of you who spent the majority of the 1990's at high school I'm sure the memory of Badu will have you reminiscing of lazy, hot, teenage Summers (like they always were back then!). Givenchy, Badu and Summertime, perfect!
Alexander Wang girls spend their Spring Summer in and on the bog. What are they doing? A one or a two? Why is that model 'going' in the sink when there is clearly a third toilet (possibly available)? Oh the questions are endless. Nice shoes!
My final campaign favorite is this explosion of colour from Prada. It looks like the brightest, coolest school portrait ever. Wish my school photos looked more like this, instead of this.....
